What is Jiu-Jitsu?

Our Jiu-Jitsu program is designed for athletes of all levels—whether you’re stepping into the cage or just looking to improve your fitness and self-defense skills. Learn how to control opponents, submit with precision, and develop the confidence and discipline that only Jiu-Jitsu can teach.

Team Oyama is affiliated with 10th Planet Irvine, incorporating new-age techniques and philosophies aimed to improve your skills as an MMA fighter and submission-grappler. In our no-gi classes, you’ll master chokes, armlocks, leglocks, and essential Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals.

Prior Experience: None required. Beginners are encouraged!

Required Gear: Form-fitting workout clothes. Rashguard and mouthguard encouraged for more advanced athletes.
